Sorry again

The "posting regularly" issue seems to be a tricky one for me. I promise I'll start again now the days are chillier and there's less to do in the sun at lunchtime. In the meantime, here is a picture of my lovely new socks, which I was forced to buy as shoes now seem to be obligatory. I miss my FitFlops.

I have known people to have been arrested for less!

The socks, the irregular posting or the FitFlops? All, I agree, heinous in their own special way.

Great socks. You should start a 'Sock Blog' and post a different picture of your foot each day with all different designs of sock. This could take off.

Great socks!

I try to make one posting a week, so my audience don't desert me entirely, but must admit, I've missed the odd one owing to life getting in the way.

I've recently acquired two pairs of FitFlops. I couldn't care less what anyone says about them, I love them! Usually I wear ridiculously unpractical footwear and The Actor gets quite cross that I can never walk far, it's a particular problem on holiday. FitFlops are the most comfortable things I've ever worn apart from my Uggs. Great socks by the way and more posts please! xx

Fran - I might well do that. Maybe as a sidebar. Today's socks are black with silver hearts, but I'm not taking my boots off.

Laura - I have NO SELF-DISCIPLINE. New Year's resolution will be to put my shoulder to the wheeel or nose to the grindstone or whatever contortion is required for hard work.

Christina - I miss them so much! Back in boots and long socks. If only they did shoes, although one might argue that's what MBTs are for - those make everyone look like a teenage Goth though.

I am so pleased to see mid-blue denim in this shot. I am wearing jeans of a similar hue today. Slightly flared, undistressed, "out" and proud.

Of course, you could go totally 70s retro and get a pair of those rainbow striped socks with toes.

Or is that just a fashion crime too far?

Flittersniffer - As I get older I fing the darker the denim, the more likely Mr F is to wash it with a white shirt. I am playing it safe here...

Wordbird - Dear God, you'll be suggesting I sew tartan stripes on the bottom of my flares next.
